Gentlemen, please mark your calendars for the event each year where the Wine & Food Society of San Francisco opens the wine cellar doors with complete abandon.
We need say no more about the menu other than to be assured that Chef Lionel describes this as his favorite dinner of the Christmas season. His enthusiasm will be evident in the menu that will feature lobster, seared foie gras, sweetbreads among other delectable.
A few highlights from the Society’s cellar will include a beautiful 2010 Domaine Marius Delarche Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru, as well as dueling 1995 Bordeaux, the Chateau Mouton-Rothschild and Pichon Lalande, served with the main course. Since there’s no holding back, you will enjoy yet another 1995, the Chateau L’Evangile with cheese and dessert. Of course, port and cigars to follow dinner, punctuating what will be a perfect night.
While we have expanded the seating for this year’s dinner, we almost certainly will sell out, so please respond immediately if you’d like to join the festivities.
