The Wine and Food Society again returns to the extraordinary clubhouse of the Pacific-Union Club to celebrate our traditional Christmas Dinner with the ladies. Wine chairman Dick Wilson will once again share some of the greatest bounty of our cellar for this most festive event. Our Society will have the opportunity to explore the aging potential of one of the finest Chardonnay producers, Patz and Hall, with their near perfect 2008 Dutton Ranch. Chateau Pontet-Canet’s dueling 1995 and 2000 wines, among the best vintages of the last 30 years, served as well as an introduction to the highest point of the evening, the extraordinary 2001 Joseph Phelps Insignia. Throughout the evening, you will of course enjoy other cellar treasures, as well as the inimitable culinary handiwork of Chef Jimmy Corwell.
This event typically sells out promptly. We look forward to sharing the Holiday spirit with you and your guest.
